The Roma Kindergarten and Daycare Centre came into existence when Marjory Harms decided that there was a need for quality childcare in her hometown of Roma Queensland. She founded the Roma Kindergarten and Daycare Centre and opened her first centre, called 'Big Bears'in April 1993. Big Bears cares for children from age 2^1/2 to age 5 and also offers before and after school care.

In 1995 Marj opened her second centre, also in Roma, called 'Baby Bears Early Learning Centre' to provide specialized care for smaller children and babies up to 3 years.

At our centres we believe that each child is special and precious and has the right to be happy and well cared for. We aim to provide for your child's basic needs with genuine care and comfort, and to provide them with the opportunities to experience the 'joys of childhood'.

We believe that each family regardless of its structure, and our care givers have the right to mutual respect, courtesy and consideration.

We regard children of all races, religions, genders, cultures and children with additional needs with equality, respect and consideration.

We are a SunSmart Centre. The SunSmart program is a program initiated by the Queensland Cancer Fund, to ensure your childs sun safety. We make sure each child wears their hat, and sunscreen at all times when outside. children are kept indoors during the hottest time of the day, typically between 10:30am and 2pm.
